(i) Your Privacy

Star Day respects your statutory privacy rights when collecting, holding, storing, using, transmitting or otherwise processing your personal data, and this Privacy Policy Statement explains our privacy practices. (iii) The purposes for which we collect and use your Personal Data

We may collect personal information from you when you make a purchase, participate in a related promotion, or apply to become a member.

If you wish to receive certain services offered by our company, you will be required to provide certain personal information as "mandatory information" on the membership application form. If certain personal data is only provided voluntarily, it will not be marked as "mandatory information" and you can decide whether or not to provide the data to us.

If you want us to provide you with any of the following services, you will need to provide us with personal information.

(a) To join and maintain your membership with us.

(b) Accumulate Bonus Points by being our Member.

(c) To inform you of benefits and offers available to you as a member of our company.

(d) Enjoy the benefits of membership.

(e) notify you of modifications to the Membership Program;

(f) Data cleaning and updating of customer information.

(g) Other ongoing customer support services directly related to Members. We may use the personal data you provide to us (whether provided mandatorily or voluntarily) to enable us to provide you with the following additional services and/or carry out the following activities:

(a) To help us better understand the demographics of our customers.

(b) conducting internal research and analysis to ensure we are able to offer you rewards, services, product information or gifts that meet your particular needs;

(c) Market research.

(d) Have our customer service team carry out follow-up services.

(e) Send you member newsletters, member offers and latest promotional information via email and/or WhatsApp text messages.

When we collect personal data from you, we:

(a) We will notify you (either through this Privacy Policy Statement or a separate notice) that we are collecting information about you and the purposes for which we are collecting your personal information.

Any personal data we collect and hold about you will be treated as confidential but we may disclose it to the following persons (whether inside or outside Hong Kong) for the purposes of data collection set out above:

(a) Subsidiaries, affiliates, holding companies, affiliates, or companies or affiliates under the same control as Hoshida .

(b) agents, contractors or third party service providers who provide administrative, telecommunications, computer and other services to us in connection with the processing and storage of your information (collectively, “Third Party Providers”).

(c) any actual or proposed assignee, transferee or successor of all or any part of StarSun’s business, or all or any part of its assets, stock or services;

(d) government and regulatory authorities, law enforcement agencies and other organisations as required or authorised by applicable law within or outside Hong Kong.

Third party suppliers are subject to confidentiality obligations and are bound by contractual terms to protect the privacy of your personal data and may only use your personal data for the purposes set out in paragraph (b) above and not for the following purposes: Third party suppliers (including direct marketing).

(v) Direct marketing

We may also use your personal data, such as your name, telephone number, address and email address, for direct marketing purposes. Subject to legal requirements, we will not use your personal data for direct marketing unless we have your consent (which may include indicating no objection).

If you give your consent, your personal data may be used for the following purposes:

(a) notify you of new product launches and other promotional offers;

(b) to inform you about our promotional activities, such as product discount packages and latest news; (d) to keep you updated on our marketing rewards programs, birthday offers, free trial products and promotions.

If you do not want us to use your personal data for the direct marketing purposes set out above, you may exercise your right to opt-out at any time by contacting us.

(vi) Security

Any personal information you provide to us is stored securely in our customer service system and is only accessible to authorized personnel who have been trained on our privacy policy.

Cookies ("data stored locally on the user's device") are a function that stores records of access to this website in the form of compressed and encrypted text files on your computer or mobile device. The cookies used by this website do not have the function to identify individual users, and the information collected by cookies does not include personal information such as email addresses or names. Hoshibi may use cookies on this website under the following circumstances:

Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance you have the right to confirm whether we hold any personal data about you and to request access to, correction or deletion of any personal data about you in our records. If you wish to exercise any of the above rights, please email us at any time.

(x) Data storage

We will retain your personal data only for the purposes necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it is currently or will be used (including directly related purposes). When you transact business with us, we will keep a record of all your transactions for audit purposes. Our internal policy is to retain such data for a reasonable period of time and to delete personal data that is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. As set out in paragraph (ix) above, you also have the right to request the deletion of any personal data we hold about you.
